This infrared thermometer measures body temperature by measuring heat radiation from the forehead. For this purpose, the thermometer is pointed at the forehead with a gap of a few cm.
These forehead thermometers are CE certified. Such forehead thermometers can only be used for a first indicative measurement. A final measurement of body temperature should always be done with a classical fever thermometer.
